OEM & ODM Development
Custom construction programs with documented product exclusivity and engineering support from brief to production approval.
We develop and manufacture specialty ribbon constructions for OEM programs, technical applications, and branded programs that standard ribbon catalogs cannot supply. Our engineering team handles feasibility, prototype development, and production. Physical sample before any bulk order.
| Program Type | Minimum | Lead Time |
|---|---|---|
| Engineering consultation | — | Included at RFQ stage |
| Development prototype | 1–3 rounds typical | 14–21 days per round |
| Approval sample | 1 round | 7–14 days |
| Bulk production | MOQ by program specification | 30–60 days |
Standard ribbon in standard widths at standard MOQs satisfies most programs. But some applications require non-standard construction — unusual width or profile, custom fiber blend, specialized weave pattern, or a construction that doesn’t exist in any catalog. Trading companies cannot engineer these programs. You need a manufacturer with in-house engineering capability.
Custom weave constructions require loom setup engineering, yarn specification, and production trial. A trading company can’t do this — they can only order what exists. If your brief includes “custom construction” or “non-standard specification”, you need direct factory access.
New weave constructions may require dedicated loom setup or modified tooling. We cannot quote these programs without first reviewing the specification and running a feasibility check. Sending us a reference sample or detailed brief is the correct starting point.
Development programs are not single-round. Most custom constructions require 2–3 prototype rounds before production quality is reached. Buyers who expect first-prototype approval don’t understand the development process.
If your specification requires non-standard fiber (metallic blend, technical polymer, bio-based material), we need to source and qualify the yarn before development begins. Tell us the fiber requirement at RFQ stage — don’t assume we have it in stock.
Missing any of these inputs before bulk production starts compounds risk — rework, rejection, and schedule overrun all begin at this stage.
Specialty ribbon programs succeed when they start with an engineering feasibility review, not a catalog browsing session. Our in-house engineering team reviews your brief, advises on construction options, and runs development prototypes until the specification is met.
Submit your brief, reference sample, or specification sheet. Our engineering team reviews construction feasibility and advises on loom setup requirements, yarn sourcing, and expected prototype rounds before we quote.
OEM programs are produced to your specification with your branding, and we document that the design is not supplied to competitors. NDA and exclusivity terms are standard for custom construction programs.
Development programs are quoted as a development package including up to 3 prototype rounds. If the construction is not meeting specification after round 1, we adjust and rerun without additional charge up to the agreed prototype count.
If you have a written brief, reference sample, or specification, we provide engineering consultation at no charge for buyers with credible program requirements. Describe your program at the RFQ stage.

Specialty ribbon for luxury packaging programs requiring a material specification or weave construction not available through standard ribbon suppliers.
Custom ribbon constructions for premium cosmetics and fragrance packaging programs where material differentiation is part of the brand strategy.
Every custom program follows this sequence: sample approval, MOQ and timeline confirmation, then quality-controlled bulk production.
Physical sample produced before any bulk run. All specifications confirmed — you sign off before production starts.
Full timeline confirmed before you commit to bulk. We confirm MOQ, production schedule, and shipment window at RFQ stage.
Three-stage inspection protocol. Color checked against approved sample. No disputes after delivery.
