Certifications and Material Compliance for Lude Ribbon Products

Compliance Requirements We Confirm by Program
Not every ribbon product carries the same certification. Documentation depends on material, fiber composition, supplier scope, and target market. A certification should be treated as current only after its certificate number, issuer, product scope, and expiry are confirmed for the quoted program.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
OEKO-TEX tests finished textiles for harmful substances. If this standard is required, include it in the RFQ and request the current certificate number, certified product scope, and expiry. The team will confirm whether the exact ribbon material is covered before quotation.
REACH (EU Chemical Regulation)
REACH restricts hazardous substances in products entering the EU market. Send the applicable SVHC list, material specification, or supplier questionnaire with the RFQ. The declaration or testing route available for that material will be confirmed before order approval.
CPSC / US Consumer Product Safety
If ribbon is incorporated into children’s products or toys sold in the US, CPSC testing may apply. State the end product, age group, material, and target market so the applicable test scope and third-party laboratory route can be confirmed.
California Proposition 65
Proposition 65 may require warnings when listed chemicals exceed applicable exposure thresholds. Provide the dye, coating, and end-use specification so the relevant substance review and available documentation can be confirmed.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)
FSC applies to paper-based packaging components rather than synthetic ribbon itself. If backing cards, hang tags, or packaging must be FSC certified, state the requirement and request current chain-of-custody evidence for the selected packaging supply.
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative)
If your onboarding process requires a BSCI audit, request the current audit record, site scope, rating, and validity period. Availability and coverage must be confirmed before relying on the claim.
Sedex / SMETA Audit
If Sedex membership or a SMETA audit is required, request the current site reference, audit date, scope, and permitted disclosure. The team will confirm what record is available for buyer review.
ISO 9001 — Quality Management System
If ISO 9001 is required, request the current certificate, issuing body, certified site, scope, and expiry. Quality-control procedures can be reviewed separately, but they should not be presented as certification without current evidence.

If your organization has a supplier questionnaire, vendor qualification form, or material safety data requirement, submit it with the initial inquiry. The team will confirm the responsible party, supporting records, and expected return time after reviewing the document.
