FAQ
Common Questions
Answers B2B buyers most often ask before starting a custom ribbon program.
What is the MOQ for custom printed ribbon?
MOQ is 1,500 yards (1,372 m) per color for plain stock ribbon and 3,000 yards (2,743 m) per design for custom printed ribbon. Pre-tied bows and flowers start at 1,000 pcs. Hot stamp and screen print programs start at 500 yards (457 m); jacquard woven logo ribbon starts at 3,000–5,000 yards (4,572 m). See the MOQ and lead time page for the full table.
How long does custom ribbon production take?
Standard lead time is 15–20 business days from artwork approval and order confirmation — covering sampling, approval, and bulk production. Rush programs (5–8 business days) are available at surcharge, subject to capacity.
Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes. Pre-production sample confirmation is a required step in all custom programs. Bulk production does not start until written sample approval is received. See the sampling process page for details.
What file format do you need for logo printing?
Vector files are preferred: AI, EPS, or SVG with outlined text. PDF with embedded vectors also accepted. For raster files: PNG or TIFF at minimum 300 DPI at actual print size. Web-source JPGs (72 DPI) are not usable.
What ribbon materials are available?
Standard options: polyester satin, grosgrain (polyester), velvet, organza, metallic (metallic thread weave), and nylon. Each has different print compatibility, visual finish, and hand feel. Submit your program specs and we’ll recommend the right material.
How do you ensure Pantone color consistency?
All custom color programs use Pantone references as the production standard. A physical color sample is approved before bulk dyeing and the approved dye lot is retained as the standard for pre-shipment comparison on all subsequent runs.
